But are you really saving money, or is it an illusion? Click on the green pig to the right to give your input.

One thing you should understand when it comes to name brand grocery products and their coupons, is that the products themselves are priced high to begin with.

After all, the manufacturer has to cover their cost for issuing the coupons in the first place.

Here's How It Works

Once the coupons are redeemed by the consumer, the grocery store forwards them to the manufacturer, the manufacturer cuts the grocery store a check for the face value of the coupon plus reimburses the store some amount of money for processing...typically 8 cents per coupon.

The total cost for this coupon has already been factored into the manufactures product price that they charge to the grocery chain...

Which, you guessed it, gets passed down to the consumer....... (you).

Are You Truly Saving Money?

So are you really, truly saving money when the coupon discount is factored in to the original cost of the product, which results in a higher priced product?

The answer to this question is yes, you are saving money if you like and buy their over priced products to begin with.

For instance, if you're already buying their products, and you don't play their game by utilizing the coupons that they offer, your essentially over paying for the product and making the manufacturers rich. Therefore, you have to play their game in order to not over pay for their products.

But you have to understand, that the money you are saving is an illusion...

You're NOT really saving money on their products by using their coupons. (Saving money is the illusion.) Unless your getting their product for next to nothing or for free.

What's really happening is this:

Your not overpaying for their products by using their coupons. (This is the truth.)

Are You Beating the System?

I know there are a lot of young and energetic moms out their claiming that their saving big bucks on coupons, and the high that they get when they feel that they've gotten away with something.

But are you truly beating the system???

It may seem as though your getting away with something...(That's why companies keep making coupons right?...)

You're Playing by Their Rules!

Your playing by their rules, by a system that they developed.

While you're playing by their rules, which includes:

* Clipping and saving free grocery coupons.

* Putting them in a grocery coupon organizer.

* Keeping track of expiration dates.

* Timing your shopping according to advertised sales.

* Customizing grocery lists.

* Bringing the right coupons to the store.

* Checking the list for detailed product specifications.

* And finally, remembering to give the darn coupons to the cashier.

FEUH! WHAT A HASSLE! But it doesn't stop there...

Most Free Grocery Coupons Are
Highly Processed Junk Foods

You then go home and eat their highly processed junk food, which entices you to come back for more.

Have you ever seen a coupon for an apple? With a closer look at the coupons that are available, you'll find that almost all of them are for highly processed junk food products with no nutritional value what-so-ever.

In addition, these products are all too often more expensive than the lesser known generic brands, even with the discount.

Bottom Line

Saving money with free grocery coupons is an illusion in most cases, a waste of time, a waste of energy, and a waste of your health.

Again, not to totally smash the idea of using coupons. . . Many times you can receive products absolutely free. (After all, the manufactures hope that you'll try their product and come back for more).

Regardless, generic brands cost far less, some taste just as good, and you don't have to play the coupon game to save money.

However, for all of you die hard coupon clippers out there that enjoy the game, (I do have to admit...it is kind of fun!) You actually can save a little money if your smart about it, and there is new technology that makes the whole process a lot less painful. (We just wanted to give you a different perspective)

For these reasons, we give you this list of our "cream of the crop" grocery coupon websites and some grocery coupon organizers that can make your coupon experience more enjoyable.

Furthermore, if you happen to enjoy eating out, then you might as well save some money with these fast food coupons.

Ok, got off track for a minute, back to the groceries.......
